4-Day Journey Through the Moroccan Desert
Immerse yourself in the mystical beauty of the Moroccan desert, exploring the vast landscapes where the blue men of the desert roam. This four-day adventure will take you through pre-Saharan pathways and breathtaking lunar-like scenery, offering an unforgettable experience of Morocco's wild beauty.
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Your journey begins at 8:00 AM with a departure from Marrakech, heading towards Ouarzazate via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. You will continue to the village of Agdez, where the Draa Valley begins, known for its expansive palm groves. As you traverse this presaharan route, you will arrive in Zagora, a city rich in history and the birthplace of the Saadian dynasty. Your first night will be spent in a traditional desert bivouac under the starry sky.

Day 2: Zagora – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, the journey continues to Erfoud, passing through N’Kob, Mellal’s palm groves, Tazzarine, and Alnif across the wide, rocky plains. You will enjoy lunch along the way before arriving in Merzouga, where the towering dunes await. Spend the night in a desert camp, and wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Merzouga dunes.

Day 3: Erfoud – Todra – Tinerhir
Set off for Tinerhir, passing through the majestic Todra Gorges, with its towering rock cliffs. Many movies have been filmed in this dramatic location. After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the surroundings. In the evening, relax and enjoy a comfortable stay in a cozy riad.

Day 4: Tinerhir – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
On the final day, travel through the picturesque Dades Valley, known as the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs." Along the way, you will marvel at fortified villages, kasbahs, and ksours. After lunch, visit the famous kasbahs of Taourirt and Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the backdrop of many famous films. Return to Marrakech in the late afternoon, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass once again.
