7-Day Grand Tour of Morocco from Marrakech to Tangier
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be greeted by your driver and transported to your hotel. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a restful evening. If your arrival is late (after 10 PM), a cold dinner will be provided in your room.
Day 2: Explore Marrakech
After breakfast, begin your day with a local guide and visit the famous Majorelle Gardens. Then, tour the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a 14th-century Koranic school, followed by the Marrakech Museum located in a 19th-century palace. Enjoy lunch at your hotel.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore the Koutoubia Mosque from the outside, the twin sister of the Giralda in Seville, and visit the Menara Gardens. You’ll also discover the Bahia Palace, an opulent building from the late 19th century. The day will end at Jmaa el Fna Square, where you can immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere filled with storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, and more.
Those wishing to return to the hotel will be transferred around 8 PM. Alternatively, enjoy dinner on your own at a nearby restaurant or attend the optional "Fantasy Chez Ali" dinner show.
Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge
After breakfast, depart early from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous kasbah where movies like Gladiator were filmed. Continue to Ouarzazate, known for its cinematic history and picturesque landscape. The journey will continue along the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs" through the Rose Valley to reach Dades Gorge, where you will spend the night in a charming hotel with dinner included.
Day 4: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, head towards the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering rock walls. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and then to the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek across the dunes to witness the sunset before settling in for the night at a desert camp. Relish a traditional Berber dinner and music around a campfire under the starry Sahara sky.
Day 5: Merzouga – Fes
Rise early to catch the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, head back to Merzouga by camel, then depart for Fes, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stopping for panoramic views. Arrive in Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities, known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.
Day 6: Fes – Chefchaouen
Begin the day with a guided tour of Fes. Explore the historic medina, visit spice souks, see the ancient Al-Qarawiyyin University, and visit the tanneries. Afterward, depart for Chefchaouen, the picturesque blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to explore the serene, scenic streets before dinner at your hotel.
Day 7: Chefchaouen – Tangier
After breakfast, take a guided walking tour of Chefchaouen. Marvel at the charming blue-washed buildings and discover local artisanal crafts. After some free time for lunch, depart for Tangier. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, port, or airport, marking the end of your grand Moroccan tour.
